In 2018 The Kooks were all set to release their new album, Let’s go sunshine, perfectly timed for the heatwave of the summer. First, the band released two new songs in May, All the time and No pressure, giving fans a little taster of what to expect. We worked with Kobalt on a special teaser, leaving old school mix tapes of the new material on the side of one of our 48 sheet billboards in Dalston. The cassette tapes were soon snapped up by inquisitive passers by as the band shared pictures on their social media, resulting in a combined 30,000 likes on instagram, and 2,500 likes on Twitter.
Then, as the band took to the stage at Reading Festival, we organised a special flyover stunt complete with The Kooks branding. The band shared the plane and banner on their social media once again and, with over 6k likes on the day of their festival performance, the album promo was certainly elevated to new heights!
