At just 39, the legendary R&B singer Alicia Keys has been working in music for almost two decades, with seven albums under her belt since debut Songs in a Minor in 2001. Her seventh record, the self-titled, genreless Alicia, was released earlier this year. Critics praised Keys’ unique voice and lyrical bravery as she returned to the piano ballads and R&B that defined her earlier career with touching lyrics about everything from her own life to police brutality.
To get the word out about Alicia, we teamed up with Sony Music to take over our sites across London. With 4 and 48 sheet posters in eight boroughs from Kensington & Chelsea to Hackney, we brought Alicia to London. On the poster, Keys stands naked and barefaced against a washed-out red backdrop with simple lettering reading Alicia, brightening up the streets of London in colours similar to those on the bold album cover.
