In April 2018, Blossoms returned with a brand new album and UK tour. “Cool Like You” was their first release since their critically acclaimed debut back in 2016, which earned them headliner status and a Mercury nod to boot. The new release – described by NME as “overflowing with singles” – is an effortless return to the scene for the Stockport five, seemingly bypassing the threat of the difficult second album.
Such a hotly anticipated release needed an outdoor campaign to match. We worked with Virgin EMI on a very special build to light up London in homage to the new album. Recreating their artwork with real spotlights over Shoreditch, the billboard was certainly hard to miss and high impact on a busy east London street.
In addition to the special build, we also ran a large billboard campaign in Hammersmith – a poster that certainly got the band excited as they visited the site to pose for a photo in front.
