Diabolical managed the planning, production and placement of the tease and reveal campaign for Reflektor, the fourth and highly anticipated album from Arcade Fire. In one of the most notable underground marketing campaigns to date, which involved Diabolical working alongside a number of other agencies worldwide to create palpable intrigue over a number of weeks, from chalk graffiti symbols depicting the word Reflektor on Rome’s Coliseum, to posters that morphed and changed, to 4-story high murals in New York City.
Diabolical ran the Arcade Fire campaign across the breadth of London and various regional town center’s. Starting with the cryptic Reflektor symbol, gradually building to reveal the album release date, band name and finally the full album cover, using 60×40 sheets, billboards and pavement graffiti.
